The Similarities and Difference Between Instagram Reels and Tiktok

Considering that Instagram modeled their stories feature after the format of TikTok videos, you’re probably not surprised to know that the two features are similar.

Both of them allow you to create videos lasting up to sixty seconds long, and both platforms have a full music library for you to use to make exciting videos.

On TikTok you can use this feature on both your business and personal accounts, but Instagram only allows you to access the music library on your personal account. 

Don’t expect the battle of TikTok vs. Instagram Reels to die down anytime soon, because there are good reasons to use both of them. 

How to Create Instagram Reels

There are three different options for accessing and creating a reel: the Reels tab, the Instagram Stories camera, and the Instagram home screen.

To create an Instagram Reel by using the Instagram Stories camera menu, all you need to do is click on the Reels icon that’s located on the bottom of your screen inside of the Instagram Stories camera menu. 

On the left side of your screen, you’ll see a button that says “audio.” Click on this button to add music to your video. You’ll also see a “speed” option on the left side of your screen to speed up or slow down your video. 

There are also options for choosing how long you’d like your video to be, and how many clips you want to break the video into. 

Once you’ve got these basic options set up, all you need to do is record your videos and publish them.
